Christmas is supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year, but the holidays this year brings a lot of uncertainty and despair for many Calgarians experiencing hardship in the Oil and Gas sector. It is during these times of uncertainty that me must lend a helping hand to those in need. No gesture is big or small enough.

A small act of kindness can make a huge difference. While Christmas is not all about presents and what we may or may not get ... gift giving and receiving are a big part of the holiday season.

Although we are all negatively impacted by the current economic crisis, I do not want to watch from the sidelines. Let’s unite as a community and provide the gift of hope, let’s adopt a family for Christmas. All I want for Christmas is to see a child smile. Give the gift of love, kindness and solidarity.

Please reach out to me ltroche@icgteam.com if you would like to participate.

"At the end of our lives, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by ‘I was hungry and you gave me to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in"
